Privacy policy: what Normdale knows about you, and what it doesn't

The numbers you type into the Payoff Calculator stay in your browser, you never need to sign up, and analytics cookies load only if you say yes. This page lists the information Normdale does get, why, how long we keep it, and how to see, fix or delete it.

Key points

Analytics, in plain words

  • Always on, no cookies: Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits and page views as totals. Google Search Console tells us which Google searches showed or led to Normdale; it runs no code on our pages.
  • Only if you click Accept: Google Analytics 4 records which pages you visit and which actions you take, such as "calculator started" and "result shown", but never the numbers you type. Microsoft Clarity records clicks and scrolling as heatmaps and a replay of the page, with the calculator and its results masked.
  • If you click Reject, or don't choose: neither one loads.

Who is responsible for your information

Normdale (normdale.com) is run by Diego Franco Media SAS, the company responsible for your personal information under this policy. Diego Franco, founder and editor, handles every privacy request.

Does Normdale store what I type into the calculator?

No. The Payoff Calculator runs entirely in your browser. The balance, rate and payment you type are not sent to normdale.com, to Google Analytics, to Microsoft Clarity or to anyone else, and nothing is saved when you close the page.

If you've accepted analytics, Google Analytics records only that a calculation was started and that a result was shown, as event names with no amounts. In Clarity's replay, the calculator form and its results are masked, so the numbers never appear.

If you use Print this result, your browser makes the printout or PDF on your device. We never see it.

Links from our videos can add a short code to the address, such as normdale.com/payoff/?ep=2. It only tells the page which video's example to show and fill in. It doesn't identify you.

Information we collect

When you visit (everyone). normdale.com is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like every web host, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address, browser and the page you asked for, so it can deliver the page and protect the site from attacks. Cloudflare Web Analytics adds visit totals: page views, the site or link that sent the visit, country, device type, browser, operating system and page speed. Cloudflare says Web Analytics uses no cookies or local storage and doesn't fingerprint visitors.

From Google Search (everyone). Google Search Console shows us, as totals, which Google searches showed Normdale and how often people clicked. It runs no code on our site and tells us nothing about you as a person.

Only if you accept analytics.

When you email us. Your email address, the name your email shows, and what you write.

Not collected. No account details, passwords, bank logins or card numbers. We never ask for them.

How we use it

We don't use your information for advertising, we don't build profiles to sell anything to you, and we don't use it to make decisions about you.

Who we share it with

Only the services that run Normdale for us, each for the job listed:

We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't share it with card issuers, lenders or debt-relief companies. We would hand information to anyone else only if the law required it. If Normdale is ever sold or merged, the information would pass to the new owner, who would have to keep this policy.

AI and your information

When you write to us, we may use an AI assistant to help draft a reply; we remove your name and email address from what we paste. Normdale doesn't build or train AI models. How AI is used for pages, code and videos: Editorial policy.

Cookies and similar technologies

Without your OK, normdale.com sets no analytics cookies. It stores only your cookie choice in your browser, and Cloudflare may set a short-lived security cookie to check that a visitor isn't a bot. Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity cookies are set only after you click Accept. We use no advertising cookies of our own. The full list, with names and durations: Cookie policy.

Your rights and how to use them

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

How to ask: email hello@normdale.com with "Privacy request" in the subject, or write to the address above. Tell us what you'd like and how to reach you. We'll ask for more details only if we need them to confirm the request is yours.

How fast we answer: we follow the deadlines in Colombia's data-protection law (Law 1581 of 2012) for everyone. A request to see your information is answered within 10 business days. A request to correct, update or delete it, or a complaint, is answered within 15 business days. If we need more time, we'll tell you why and give a new date, at most 5 more business days for the first kind and 8 more for the second.

One limit you should know: analytics data isn't stored under your name, so we may not be able to find your visits. Clarity doesn't let us delete one visitor's replays; they expire as shown above.

In Colombia: your rights also include asking for proof of your consent. After you've contacted us first, you can file a complaint with the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio (sic.gov.co), Colombia's data-protection authority.

In the EU, UK or Switzerland: you also have the rights to restrict or object to processing and to data portability, and you can complain to your local data-protection authority. We rely on your consent for Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, and on our legitimate interest in running a secure site and answering your emails for everything else.

In US states with privacy laws (such as California): you can ask to know, correct and delete your information and to opt out of its sale or sharing for targeted advertising. We don't sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising, and we won't treat you differently for using any of these rights.

International transfers

Diego Franco Media SAS is based in Bogotá, Colombia. Cloudflare, Google and Microsoft are based in the United States and process information in many countries, so your information may be processed outside the country where you live, including in Colombia and the United States. Each provider describes the safeguards it relies on for international transfers in its own terms (Cloudflare's, for example, names the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework):

How we protect it

normdale.com is a static site: there's no database, no user accounts and no logins to break into. Every page is served over HTTPS with security headers that block scripts from anywhere except our own site, Cloudflare's analytics and the two analytics tools you can accept. Only Diego Franco has access to the accounts that hold the information on this page. No system is perfectly secure, so we also keep what we hold small.

Children

Normdale is made for adults. The site isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from children. If you think a child has emailed us, write to hello@normdale.com and we'll delete the message.

Links to YouTube, Instagram and TikTok

Normdale's videos live on YouTube, Instagram and TikTok. Our links to them (such as normdale.com/go/youtube) simply send you there. Once you're on one of those platforms, its own privacy policy and cookies apply. normdale.com doesn't embed their video players, so they don't load on our pages. If that changes, we'll update this page and the cookie policy first.

Waiting list and purchases

The waiting list (open, optional)

You can join a waiting list to get one email when Normdale's Debt Payoff Planner opens. Joining is optional: no tool or page needs it, and the calculator's answer is never hidden behind an email. The form is on a page at go.normdale.com, run by systeme.io, our email service.

Purchases (not open yet)

Nothing is for sale on Normdale yet. We plan to sell Normdale's own products, starting with Normdale's Debt Payoff Planner (a spreadsheet, not on sale yet). The checkout is planned on systeme.io at go.normdale.com, with payments processed by PayPal, so Normdale never sees your full card number.

Before the first sale, we'll add to this page what is collected at checkout, which services handle it and how long it's kept, and we'll change the effective date at the top.

Changes to this policy

When we change how we handle information, we update this page and its effective date before the change takes effect. If a change affects what you agreed to, such as a new analytics tool, we'll ask for your choice again in the cookie banner.

This policy is in force from the effective date at the top. The information it covers is kept for the periods listed above, for as long as Normdale operates.
